Company Profile

G.M. Mechanical is a High River based plumbing and heating company serving the M.D. of Foothills and all the towns within the M.D. as well as Priddis, Millarville, Vulcan, Milo, Arrowwood, and Claresholm areas.

G.M. Mechanical was started by George McCormick in 1991, who soon after was joined by his brother-in-law Mike Ukno. They operated for a short time as a partnership, then the company was changed to a limited company.In the year of 2000, George became the sole owner of G.M. Mechanical and continues to operate the company with the capable assistance of his wife, Patti McCormick (Office Manager), Don Dumanski (Construction Manager), Erin Duthie (Dispatcher/Purchasing Manager) and Joe McCormick (Assistant Manager). The company has grown within the community and surrounding areas. G.M. Mechanical currently has a staff of 16 employees.

Customer satisfaction is very high on the priority list at G.M. Mechanical and every effort is made to ensure that customers are treated courteously, fairly, promptly and that the advice given is honest.  G.M. Mechanical welcomes customers’ complaints, praises and suggestions.

Warranties

Warranties provided by the manufacturer are as varied as the products and range from a minimum of 30 day warranty to a maximum of lifetime.  G.M. Mechanical warranties their installation of a period of 1 year, and can look after the manufacturers warranties for their customers.  Being a Lennox dealer also allows G.M. Mechanical to sell extended warranty packages to customers to extend both labour and parts for up to 10 years.  A lot of manufacturers are recognizing the customer’s demand for longer warranty periods and the trend seems to show an effort to satisfy customer demand.

Service & Maintenance

Many customers forget about regular maintenance on their heating and /or cooling system.  G.M. Mechanical also offers “Planned Service”.  Planned Service can help reduce the chance of being caught in the cold when you get home from work or wake up in the morning.

Supporting Seniors - Discount Program

G.M. Mechanical recognizes that seniors make up and important sector of their customer base and also that many are on a fixed income.  In order to help seniors out, a discount is applied to all hourly service work for those customers are 60 years of age and over.  This discount is applied only when the job is paid at the time the work is completed.
